Getting back into season

Spring is always bitter sweet for us Aerobic Instructors , we are excited to have our seasonal exercises back but at the same time, anxious for their return.  Our clubs and studios and parking lots become overcrowded for a short period of time as people become determined to get super fit and beach ready bodies.

why do clients choose group classes?

As a group exercise instructor, our goal is to motivate clients to continue to exercise for a long term healthy life.  Training in a group creates wonderful energy and encourages members to return day after day. I believe that if we don't enjoy the exercise session and feel a sense of accomplishment, the chances of people continuing is very slim.

Burnout – identifying and avoiding it

I believe it happens to all of us from time to time, most commonly when we just get started with our teaching.  It's so exciting and the adrenaline is addictive.  We also know that the more we teach the more confident and comfortable we feel.  But all too often, just after we get qualified, we take on every single class made available to us.  It is difficult to say ‘no’ but it is also important to remember that our bodies and our health are our business and we should care for it as the investment it is.
